Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prep the steak: Take steak out of the fridge 20 mins before cooking. Pat dry with paper towel and season generously with salt & pepper on both sides.
- Sear the steak: Heat a cast-iron pan on high heat (no oil needed). Sear steak for 2-3 mins per side for medium-rare (4-5 mins for well-done).
- Add flavor: In the last 2 mins, add butter, garlic, and herbs. Spoon melted butter over the steak repeatedly.
- Rest and serve: Remove steak and let rest for 5 mins. Slice against the grain and drizzle with leftover garlic butter.
